The differences in the design changes made to the 20RESCL-200SELs are an upgrade to the engine mounting block and the gas regulator. They were upgraded to allow for a lower gas pressure (3.5” water column). Benefit of the new 20RESCL-200SELS - if you have an older gas meter with the new 20RESCL – an upgrade may not need to be made to the gas meter-saving you time in permitting and not upgrading you gas meter (cost savings).

We bought our Kohler 20kw generator when it was on sale in September. We have been very happy with our purchase. No power outages yet but it goes through its weekly test cycle without a hitch.

Kohler 20Resal
Fantastic, the best investment I every made. After years of suffering through the frequent power outages I finally bought a whole house standby generator. Kohler is know for quality in their engines and plumbing supplies. Well add home standby generators to the list. Electrician had no issues installing. Since installation 2 power outages and the the generator performed as advertised. Lost power and within about 8 seconds the generator kicked in and power was installed. Great customer service by AP Electric. Also AP Electric had the best price I could find. Great company to do business with and I would highly recommend the Kohler 20kW generator and AP Electric. Very satisfied.

My electrician installing it was impressed with if features also, compared to the Generac he normally installs. The only problem we had,, was finding the 20 gauge shielded cable. Thanks for the email.

It has not been totally hooked up yet, but it sure does look pretty setting behind our home. Waiting for the electrical contractor to finish hooking it up. Then we will be ready to rumble.

The generator has been installed and all start up checks and tests have been performed. Under all load and no-load test it performed well. Under simulated power failure the generator performed perfectly.

Purchasing the generator and delivery turned out very well. The delivery was fast and no damage. It was created well. I did the installation and it was smooth and no major problems. The unit seems to work as described. I am a little disappointed with the DC2 controller that controls the generator as it has limited functions. I purchased On-Cue which lets me monitor and make some changes. All in all the generator looks like it will back up my house and do a good job and that is the main thing.
