Warranty issue resolved
My wife and I, after extensive research on air-cooled generators, went with the Kohler 8RESVL. Kohler has a high rate of satisfaction with it's customers and now I know why. We purchased this backup generator and it came without the keys. They could have made us jump through hoops, however they simply sent a new pair of news overnight freight. I was a little shocked to be honest. Glad they are so customer oriented. I'm very much happy with Kohler and their 8RESVL 8kw generator. Going to purchase an OnCue monitor soon and will get it from you AP electric.

Perfect Timing
purchased a Kohler 8kw 8RESVL from you about two weeks ago and it was installed last week. Well wouldn't you know that last night the weather was so bad here that my power was knocked out. I can't tell you how happy I was that we had this generator as a backup because if not our sump pumps wouldn't have been on. I know a lot of people who had their basements flood so be expecting more calls for generators. Kohler makes a damn good product so I recommend it to everyone. This 8kw generator may seem small, but it packs a lot of power. The 8RESVL is perfect for not having to replace your entire basement or having to deal with mold due to flooding...

I bought this Kohler 8RESVL because I like Kohler a lot more than Generac. I used your sizing tool to determine that 8kw generator would be plenty for my small ranch. I also didn't want a metal enclosure since at some point it would start to decay so I like that the 8RESVL is all composite plastic. One of the best generator brands on the market in my opinion. The only thing I wish they would change is I would prefer a liquid-cooled generator instead of the air-cooled generator in the 8kw size. That's just a preference though.

Super Informative
I had heard a lot of good things about the Kohler 8RES generator so that was the model I was interested in. I spoke to a rep there (can't remember his name) who told me about the newer 8RESVL. I had my reservations because of how new it is until I did some research. This 8RESVL generator is still air-cooled just like the 8RES, it's got a lot more of the recent updates that the 8RES didn't have, and it comes in a package with the transfer switch unlike the 8RES. I like the metal enclosure on the previous model, but I need an 8kw generator so the 8RESVL made more sense to purchase. Your sales people really know their stuff and that is what sealed the deal on buying this generator for my home.

Trouble free
I bought the Kohler 8RESVL generator mainly because of it's history of trouble free service. The standby generator comes on automatically and runs super quiet. It is also programmed to exercise weekly, just to make sure the generator is ready to run when we need it. The unit runs quiet compared to portable generators. It also came with an 100 amp transfer switch which was easy to install. Quick shipping from AP Electric.

Great Little Generator
Just needed a generator to power up the essentials: garage door, refrigerator, freezer, well, sump and a few lights. This home standby generator works perfect for that. shipping was extremely quick. I took advantage of the 2% off if I wired funds. Easy install for my electrician. It has been installed for 3 months now. Kicked on once and worked great. I also like how small and compact it is.

Great Purchase. Kohler 8RESVL
Sure you can buy a larger home stand by generator. But this puppy is great value. I had my electrician power up my most critical 12 circuits. I wanted the AC but the electrician said that was not going to be possible with everything else I wanted power to in the event of a storm. No worries the important stuff is covered. Can't be Kohler quality. Easy transaction with AP Electric and they had the best price by far. I would recommend both the Kohler 8RESVL and AP Electric.
