    First trip solid preformer

So far so good. more power, about the same weight and possibly quieter that my previous Smart Tools 2000 watt generator with the Yamaha engine. The Smart Tolls generator started burning oil and was returned after 1.5 years. So it'll take some time to give the Westinghouse 5 stars. On my first trip to CO however it did a great job.

    Great generator

Posted by Pete N. on Jul 07, 2017

Took 3 pulls to start the generator the first time after filling with gas. Now it starts on the first pull each time. Very quiet too. I love the digital gauge for gas level and power output.

Powerful, quiet , small and frugal

Its as quiet as Honda or Yamaha 2000 at about 1/2 the price, and weighs just about the same, same demensions.... and has more power, 2500 surge, 2200 watts continuous. And you can hook two in parallel for much less, It has a fuel gauge and LED readout for total hours and hours for current use. Arrived quickly.

    new iGen2500

This is a perfect size unit, weighs less than 50 lbs and relatively quiet. With a hard start capacitor and fan delay it will start and run my 13.5 BTU AC on my travel trailer. Most inverter gens are too small, some are bigger and heavier than I really need or want to transport. I don't think you can beat this unit for size, weight, output, and price. I like the info panel which shows output, fuel remaining, total load time, etc., although the digital numbers are hard to read in daylight. I like that you can drain the carburetor, and that the fuel is actually turned off when you turn the unit off. Oil dip stick/drain plug and spark plug are pretty easy to get to. I really like this unit, and plan to keep it a long time. I has a 3 year guarantee!

    More power, less price!

Posted by Darren on Jun 25, 2017

I had a Honda EU2000 for a decade and recently sold it for $600 because it would not start my air conditioner. Now I have the Westinghouse Igen 2500 and it easily starts my air conditioner, and it costs less than the $600 I got for my 10 year old Honda. It is also better than the Honda because of the simpler start knob, choke knob, no gas cap on/off switch, and inclusion of a gas gauge too (super important). I don't know if I will need the power output gauge? We will see. Love my new genny!

    Great Camping Generator

Very quiet generator and fuel efficient. I am laughing at my buddies that have pruchased Honda's. They paid twice as much and mine starts first pull every time and is just as quiet. Great Service and quick shipping from AP Electric & Generators.
