Great product
We purchased this to run an air conditioner on our cabin boat. It works great. And it isn't too heavy for older people to use.

Great Generator
I contemplated this purchase for the better part of year before pulling the trigger. I replaced a Honda 3000EU with a pair iGen2500's. The Honda was quiet and reliable but VERY heavy to move around. Reliability was not the issue, portability was. Because I always needed a generator when camping, but not the heavy 3000 watt Honda, I had to buy a smaller 1000 watt inverter generator to fill the void. Problem was, the 1000 didn't cover all my small needs like I thought it would. When I found the Westinghouse's online, I started looking for other comparables as well- I compared spec's, prices, wattage, noise level and even watched a few review videos on YouTube. I kept coming back to the iGen2500's for weight; nearly 50lb but carryable one handed, wattage; 2200 running watts each (more than any other comparable), price; under $600 each; "pairable" in order to double the output wattage for running my RV A/C unit and microwave etc. Last month I finally sold the Honda and bought two iGen 2500's online from AP Electric & Generators LLC. They graciously price matched a local competitor, and the end out of pocket cost was ultimately less than the competitor.
Both generators and pairing cord came within a week Fed Ex and I immediately unboxed them, filled with oil and gas and both generators started first pull no problem. Comparably I felt they ran nearly if not as quiet as the Honda on Eco-Mode. At high idle I think they are a little louder. I don't have a device to measure sound, and I don't have the Honda anymore to do a side-by-side comparison, so the point is moot for me personally. After I had them about a week I took them out by my RV and and "paired" them up to see how they performed with A/C running. Pairing them per the instructions which are simple enough, doesn't quite work every time and will overload one generator and not the other. Hitting the reset button once or twice will get it back online (I didn't like that). With the A/C running and both generators on Eco-mode, one generator would idle up, while the other idles down and the one that idled up would take 75-100% of the load, while the other took 0%. After about 5-7 seconds it would alternate to the other generator. I then turned the Eco-mode OFF on both units causing both generators to idle up equally and both units to be under 25% load equally. I left the A/C on and both generators running approximately 2 hours while I did yard work nearby. No issues at all! Before turning off the A/C, I inadvertently took one generator offline causing the A/C unit to run off only one generator with no issues. It was on high idle, running at 75%, showing it was putting out 1750 watts (or 1750 watts are being used?).
To note, when not on Eco-mode they are definitely louder than a Honda 3000EU but not excessively. At 25 feet you can have normal conversation but you "know" they're running. At 50 feet (I have a 50' extension cord) they are fine. In close quarters camping situations with other campers the 50 foot extension may not be practical for some, but I like camping/hunting in dispersed areas away from people anyway, so I think I'll be utilizing this opportunity when practical.
Lastly, when I camp in areas where I don't plan on using the air conditioner, I only need to take ONE generator with me. When we have power outages that last several hours here in the SW part of the US in the summer storm season, I can use ONE to easily power phones, TV, satellite receiver, fans, etc.
I only gave 4 stars for the noise level slightly higher than I love, and because the pairing of the running generators is not without hiccups (the necessity of hitting the reset button a few times to bring both online- I plan to call Westinghouse tech support for assistance with this). Overall I feel good about the purchase, and although a little heavy at about 50lb each, I have no issues carrying one handed. I'm 50yr+, male avg physical condition. -
Excellent generator at an excellent price
The iGen 2500 provides me with all of the juice I need to power my motorhome, including the A/C. It's just as quiet as my friend's Honda gen. The digital display is phenomenal for providing valuable information. I couldn't be happier with this purchase. If you're looking for the best buy in a light weight, powerful, portable generator, buy this.

Great Purchase
I am very pleased with this purchase and the service I got from AP Electric and Generators. This will be used to power an AC unit when needed. It, so far, has been excellent and I look forward to a long period of use from this generator. I would certainly deal with AP Electric and Generators in the future.
