Kohler GM96383 6A 12V Battery Charger

Kohler did a great job, at lest on the 12K RES generator I own. I have owned it for 10 years now and only thing to go out was the battery charger. If you need to replace your battery charger the new one will need longer screws do to the framing on the new charger is thicker.

My Kohler generator's original charger failed, and this replacement works.
I modified somewhat by removing any electricity, cut old charger wires, capped them off. Installed new Kohler charger with slightly longer screws, installed the +&- cables to new battery, plugged it into generator spare customer powered outlet in unit. Good to go, everything works as before failed charger.

Perfect...exact fit upgrade replacement for 11 year old OEM charger. Shipping time could be better.

This battery charger/tender replacement was perfect for our 14K Kohler generator. the original lasted for 9yrs. (24/7)
Cut the original wire that was connected to the BOTTOM of the gen, and just connected the new leads to the batt terminals.

Ordered this charger to replace the failed oem part
about three days before Christmas I received the charger Christmas Eve.. Great company

This was a new part that superseded the previous charger. Fit OK, but he thick plastic mounting flange required longer screws which weren't included. Also, this unit had a 110v plug while the original was hard-wired in. I connected the old wires to a 110v outlet, plugged the charger in, and was good to go.

it worked as I expected it to be and it fit perfectly when I installed it. It is actually beyond my expectation
