    Default Load shedding

I purchased this transfer switch with a 20resa generator. Its a nice pice if equiptment but....... when I installed all of the equiptment test with load transferred and the generator would run for 6 seconds stall restart and run fine. It would only do this once a day, which made it very difficult to trouble shoot. I called AP and they said sound like a fuel issue so I had the propane company come back retest all is good with the fuel. So I reached out to Kohler direct, they would not talk to me. Kohler recommended a local certified service company. I called them spoke with the service manager. Explained everything, he says thats an anomaly. “If it shuts down it should not restart” we covered warranty and it comes with a 2 yr complete 100% coverage then 3yrs parts only. Ok fast forward they come out the tech looks at check software so on so forth need to call the service manager the machine was kicking a code for no communications and load shedding. This transfer switch is so new they have only seen two including this one. Well in the 2weeks between the call and appointment the service manager did his due diligence. Well as it turns out the transfer switch come set up for load shedding, when the generator starts it looks to shed load but there is no load to shed so it thinks it is not communicating with the transfer switch. Call me crazy but I bought the size generator I needed not a smaller one. So the tech was informed of how to change the jumper on the mother board. Something I could have done had the told about it. The install manual does not say anything about making non load shedding only to make sure the jumper is p11-2 and p11-3 . So we have to wait a day to test and its perfect now. So fast forward again I get my credit card statement and there is a charge for $416 for a service call. Well the 100% warranty really is not if no parts were exchanged supposedly Kohler will not accept the warranty claim. So over all a very nice setup but disappointing dealing with the various companies to correct one little issue
