Generators can last over a decade if properly maintained, but when it comes time to get the parts where do you even begin? How do you know if itÂ’s a control board or if itÂ’s a voltage regulator? What is the difference in the carburetors that we offer or whatÂ’s the correct service manual for your generator? These are the kind of questions that we deal with on a daily basis so donÂ’t hesitate to browse our website in search of parts. If you are struggling then please give us a call and we can look it all up for you. You will have a couple different options here so letÂ’s start with Generac parts.
Generac Parts
Generac parts are mainly what we specialize here at AP Electric. When you click on the Generac section you’ll have plenty of options for where to begin your search. Generac has hundreds of thousands of parts and at times it can be hard to know what’s what. We did our best to categorize every single part that we offer so that you can pick a section and hopefully find what you need. There are quite a few parts that we don’t have on the website and can still get for you. We call these “special order” parts which just means that we don’t normally offer the part so we will order from the manufacturer specifically for you. Since we are ordering it for you these parts aren’t returnable at all. If you have your model and serial # ready you can contact us about any parts that you may need.
Briggs and Stratton Parts
For Briggs and Stratton there isnÂ’t much that we can do at the moment. We do offer a few maintenance items, but we donÂ’t have access to search for parts on these units just yet. We are going to have that access soon though so once we do we can help you with any Briggs parts you will need access too. We also will be able to help all of you who might have a XL or EXL portable so that you donÂ’t have to go back and forth between manufacturers for parts and part numbers.
Kohler Parts
WeÂ’ve recently started offering parts for Kohler and can get things for new models as well as the old ones. Similar to the Generac section once you click here youÂ’ll get a lot of difference options. There are thousands of parts so please donÂ’t just pick a part because it looks like the right one. If you have the part number you can enter it into the search and if not then you might need to refer to the ownerÂ’s manual. Since itÂ’s still fairly new most of the Kohler parts are going to be special order and take at least a week to ship.
Cords, Plugs, Inlet Boxes
The last two sections we can group together since they are arenÂ’t necessarily about generators. YouÂ’ll see Cords, Plugs, and Inlet Boxes is listed first. If you are in need of an extension cord for a portable, a plug for a portable/rv, or an inlet box for a portable then this is where you want to be. The second part of this is listed as generator accessories. Now all of these arenÂ’t just generator parts, but they are things that can be used with the generator so feel free to browse and see if there is anything of use to you.
