Easy setup and startup
I did a lot of research for a home generator that 240v 30Amp supply with a built in voltage regulator. The price can't be beat for this Westinghouse generator. the plan is to install a transfer switch to keep the lights and refrigerator, freezer and A/C in the event of a power outage.

Just received, put together and started
Can't say much so far. Put the generator together, got it ready and it started nicely. Seems to be reasonably quiet.

Well made, simple to use
My new generator arrived within 3 days of ordering. I have used it for only about 2.5 hours at a remote job site for construction of a cabin, but it is a well-built machine and is easy to use. I was frankly and pleasantly surprised as to how quiet it was considering its wattage output. I had a smaller Generac iX2000 portable generator that died an early death (& too expensive to repair), but my new Westinghouse machine isn't much louder. I would highly recommend this unit to anyone who needs a quality generator.

Westinghouse WH7500E 7500W Electric Start Portable Generator
This generator is replacing a John Deere manual start 6200 running watt generator which I wouldn't recommend.
The positive reviews here and on Amazon sold me on this Westinghouse WH7500E electric start generator and the 3 year warranty and the 5 star customer service by the seller, AP Electric! It arrived in four days right to my garage. Was easy to setup by me and it started right up after installing wheels, handles, oil provided and removing the jumper wire in the alternator per instructions from westpro.com website so it would be grounded properly when plugged into my transfer switch installed by my electrician in our basement with a 220 box in the garage to plug my 220volt cable that feeds the 220 box from the generator.
Need a generator, look no further, buy this unit from no one but AP Electric and you will be happy you did! -
Problem with carburetor with brand new machine
Received generator with no physical damage . Very easy to assemble, oil and gassed up and started on the first attempt. Ran without any problems for about 30 minutes. Then gasoline began dripping out of the bottom of the air filter assembly. Shut off generator, removed air filter cover and had gasoline pouring out of the air filter. Had to clamp the gas line and take to a dealer about 1 hour away. Based upon the assembly the problem could only be the carburetor. Had generator serviced and that was exactly the problem. Malfunctioning carburetor. Had a new carburetor installed and now runs without any problems. Mechanic has serviced 8 machines in the past 3 years and mentioned this was the problem with all of them. He believes it is a very good generator but the company needs to work on the design of the carburetor. Warranty was completely covered for fixing the carburetor. Westinghouse stood by the product. I will see if there are any other problems that occur in the near future.

What a deal.
The generator is great although the height stated in the specs should be noted without the wheels attached. It is so easy starting it is amazing even without the electric starter. Love it.

EASY START POWER
This has been a generator that's been on my need to get list for some time and AP Electric with their great price made it a no brainer. The delivery was fast and coordinated, just make sure a truck can get into your street. Having a hand truck makes it easy to place where you need until assembled. Assembly was easy. Directions were easy to follow though they need to be more descriptive on grounding (if needed). Unless one is familiar with electric work referring to code will throw off average user. In any case, grounding is an issue if you plan to connect to your house power panel. Push button start is great and has rip cord if battery gives out on you. Great product and I'm ready for hurricane season!

Very impressed with the 7500 watt generator
Easy to assemble, had everything you need to get it running ( except gas). Fired right up and hasn't missed a beat.

Totally Satisfied
The Westinghouse unit was delivered very quickly by apelectric ... impressive. It was nicely packaged and easy to slap on the wheels and handles, and pour in the oil. Started right up. Within two weeks, a windstorm took our power out, and I used the generator for about 3 hours without incident. Looking forward to many happy hours of backup power.
