The Kohler 12RESVL-100LC12 12kW Home Standby Generator delivers reliable, clean backup power with a compact footprint and an automatic 100A 12-circuit load-center transfer switch for essential-load coverage. At the heart of the 12RESVL is Kohler’s Series 7000 KT725 V-twin OHV engine, engineered for strong air-cooled performance and simple fuel conversion between natural gas and LPG. As shown on pages 1–3 of the spec sheet, the RDC2 digital controller manages generator and transfer-switch functions, providing monitoring of voltage, frequency, engine temperature, oil pressure, battery health, and runtime hours. It includes programmable exercise modes, built-in Ethernet for OnCue® Plus remote monitoring, adjustable LCD contrast, and digital isochronous governing for precise output. Fuel consumption remains efficient, using only 6.1 m³/hr NG or 2.9 m³/hr LPG at 100% load (page 3).
This model includes a factory-matched 100A RXT load-center transfer switch with 12 circuit spaces, ideal for powering essential loads such as lights, refrigerators, furnaces, well pumps, sump pumps, and home electronics. The generator’s steel enclosure features e-coat corrosion protection, powder-coat finish, and a hinged locking roof for easy access. The enclosure meets the 181 mph wind rating (page 1) and uses UL 94 HF-1 flame-retardant sound-deadening foam. Quiet operation keeps noise levels to 67 dB during weekly exercise and 71 dB during full-speed operation (page 3). Kohler backs the 12RESVL with a 5-year limited warranty, ensuring long-term performance and durability.
