Generac Generator Enclosure
Installation took about a day and a half from start to finish. Instructions very generic, little detail regarding hardware provided, and gaining access to some difficult to reach points. Finished product looks great, and so far (on line about 2 weeks now) everything functioning as it should. Allowed me to revive my generator with only 220 hours for a few more years of life - hopefully.

Generac Aluminum Replacement Enclosure
Usually I don't do reviews, but there seems to be very little info on how to do this, so I hope it is helpful to someone else.
Let me start with, I am pleased with the end result. I felt the directions were VERY well done, color pics and all. BUT, there were some things left out that I realized after the fact.
First off, I found nowhere in the directions to install the insect screens prior to installing each panel. It would be WAY easier to do it before installing the side panels. Same goes for the insulation, I ended up doing it after the fact because the directions never mentioned it.
Second issue is partially my fault, but again the directions led me astray. The directions lead me to believe I would be reusing all of the nuts and bolts, so I purchased new hardware only to open the additional box and find almost all new hardware, including hinges (with the exception of a few items like the locks on the front and the roof brackets). I should have opened EVERYTHING prior to doing the change out to see what I had.
Overall, I am very happy with this enclosure kit, it took a lot longer than I expected, took me about 8 hours to change out everything, and you will have to disconnect the gas and electric. So if you are not comfortable doing this, have a professional come do these two items. This kit is not worth purchasing, in my opinion, unless you can do all the work yourself. At this price, any labor cost to install this enclosure would not be worth it. You might as well buy a new generator. I did have my son to help with some of the lifting, which I recommend, as it would have been tough to do alone.
Overall, very pleased with my purchase from AP Electric, I will be buying my next generator from them. I am sure my new enclosure will withstand the SW Florida environment better than my steel enclosure did.
