Great Generator
Fast delivery from AP Electric. Easy assembly. Started up immediately. So easy to start. Runs all my devices at same time. Should have bought this Westinghouse generator first instead of Dura Star. Only negative is it's a little noisy.

Starting Issues
Overall, this generator set is a superb design. Right out of the box it was easy to do the minor assembly required and it started up immediately. I've been experimenting several times ensuring everything is OK and ready to meet my needs during a power outage. However, twice I have experienced no-start or rough running issues after running out of fuel. The WestPro rep told me it was most likely a piece of trash in the carb that settled there when the tank ran out of fuel. Made sense to me. So I did what he told me to do and that solved the problem. That is, until the next time it ran out of fuel. I had the same issue again, only worse this time. It wouldn't start at all. I'm attributing this problem to some kind of trash getting into the carb. I have not repeated the step to clear it out yet because the screws I have to remove are soft and easy to strip the heads. I'm waiting for the chance to remove the entire carb as the screws I have to remove are upside down and difficult to back out. I'm afraid I will strip them unless I can get adequate pressure to properly back them out. Of course, this will require more work. But I intend to get the carb cleaned out, drain the tank completely and flush it with more fuel so I know there won't be any trash in the tank. How did my original problem with trash occur? I don't know whether it was during the manufacturing process or from my gas can. Once I get this process completed and I KNOW there is no trash, I will repeat my test again. If the problem happens again, then I'm going to ask for the manufacturer to do a repair at their expense. I'll try to update this review once I complete the process. As for AP Electric and their selling and delivering the product, no issues at all.

happy with my generator
This is my third 7500E generator . Let me explain why my third, The first one was delivered with a collapsed cowling I called the company and they had it pickled up with a new replacement at no
charge. The second one ran fine but when I needed it for a power outage it had no output to any outlet. I again called the company and they not only fixed it but rented me a generator at no cost to me for the power outage. This the third one runs fine and all is well. I can honestly say that Westinghouse truly stands behind the product they sell -

This is a very user friendly generator, it is easy to move around. Scheduled power outage today, was the first time we used it. Have electric panel wired for generator ran house and outside wood stove because it was 25 this morning and high was 41 really didn't notice power was off. Great price , would highly recommend

I did a lot of research before purchasing a generator. I wanted one big enough to use with a transfer switch. I found this generator on another web site and it was highly rated. I almost bought it but decided to do a total web search based on price. I found AP Electric to have the best price along with a free extension cord or cover. Free shipping was also a bonus. I checked out the company reviews and felt confident ordering from them. I have yet to find this generator listed anywhere for the price I paid. The shipping was fast and they even let me drive over to pick it up rather than maybe wait all day to meet them at the street because I live back in the woods. The shipping company let me inspect it and then loaded it into my truck with a forklift. Assembly was easy. I hooked it up to my transfer switch and it started right up. I only let it run for about 15 minutes but so far it works fine. If we have another power outage I will put it to the test.

Disappointed
After 6 months of research I purchased the Westinghouse WE7500 portable gas generator based on countless positive reviews online.
It arrived in fine condition and within an hour it was up and running like a champ. Within 10 minutes voltage began to steadily decline at all three outlets and if I had connected it to my home transfer switch without checking first we would have lost our appliances.
I attempted to reach technical support through Westpro but they explained that I had to go through my nearest Westinghouse service center which is a lawn mower repair shop 25 miles away. When I called there for service the owner explained that they didn't carry or sell Westinghouse products but that they did handle warranty repairs and would take a look at it for me. Now I am out more time and transport costs and I have never even put the unit into service one time.
I like so many things about this unit and truly hope it will end up offering years of reliable service, I will rate it at that time.
